About
Young Enterprise Scheme (Y.E.S) is an organisation that enables students to start up their own business. Students experience what it's like to run a business while also gaining marketing and business skills, not to mention the profits.

2006
We had two teams competing this year, Stressbusters and the Ace of Spades. Both teams had alot of fun - and made a profit.
Stressbusters - Melissa Pett, Angie Huang, Gwen Tay and Joon Oh. The hardest thing about making a business, was getting an idea. We were told to do something we were passionate about and to look for things we knew a lot about. Gwen came up with the idea of stressballs and the business grew from there. Our idea was to sell gift bags fillled with goodies that were ment to relieve stress. Our first line of products, the "Bag of Joy", sold out in two days as we marketed themas the ideal gift for Mothers Day. Our second product was aimed at children and we sold them at Rutherford Primary School during lunch breaks. Although we won no prizes, we still achieved our goal. We relieved stress and most importantly we earned money, each doubling our investment in the company.
Ace of Spades - Rose He, Aonghas Anderson, John Kingi, Cathy Chun and Hyun Oh. Our idea was to sell a glue-stick that also doubled up as cellotape. Mr Scott helped to make us a jig that would allow the cellotape to be rolled around a glue stick efficiently using machinery. This was the birth of our product, GluTape. At the Young Enterprise Oral Presentation we were pleased to manage a second placingout of all the groups that attended in the West Auckland region. By receiving 78 orders from the primary school students, we have made a profit from our product this year!
