4 Rutherford teams have advanced through to the octo and quarter finals. From now on there will no longer be a points system. It will be knock-out.

The Junior Teams, Rutherford Vanquishers and Rutherford Organized Chaos, are amongst the top 16 in Auckland who made it to the octofinals in the junior division. They will be versing:

Rutherford Vanquishers vs. King's College Blue
Rutherford Organized Chaos vs. Glendowie Jnr.

The Senior Team, Rutherford Atoms, made the split into the top 16 in the senior division where they will be up against Papatoetoe Snr B.

Lastly, the Advanced Team, Ernest Rutherford, has somehow made it into the top 8 where they will be versing Top of the Table St. Kents Snr 3. This is the same school that we lost to during the Russell McVeagh Debating competition and so Ernest will very thirsty for revenge.

These debates will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening on the 11th, 12th and 13th of June. Contact your English teachers for details if you wish to come along and support Rutherford in this prestigious battle of wits. All the best to all the Debating Teams.
