The environmental group spent a few hours during the holidays improving the gardens at the front of the school. The day was Tuesday of the second week...when the storm came through, so they all got very muddy, cold and wet, but still gave it their all, uplifting roses, digging new holes for the roses that had just been dug up, digging holes for other plants (in some cases then filling back in and digging in a different spot), planting the new plants, and finally cleaning up the mess. Ms Heath was the boss, and she was blue in the face by the end of the time (literally - blue spray paint), and she was aided greatly by Gwen Tay and Zahir Khan in organising the day and Alex Siu in designing the garden. A big thank you to the other teachers that came and helped.
Photos of this day will be up soon

Mr White (WI), principal Mr Edmeades and students
Jonathan Wilson (12BG) and Cameron Bain (12--) spoke at assembly on how we have
had enough of the litter around school, and that NOW is the time to act on it -
to throw it in the bin, NOT on the ground.
